Unit 3.1 Energy and Conservation of Energy

  1. Title

  2. Create an energy problem where you calculate the gravitational potential energy of n object.

  3. Create an energy problem where you calculate the kinetic energy of an object.

  4. Create an energy problem where you need to use the idea of conservation of energy of a system in order to find the solution.

  5. All problems should have solutions and illustrations.

  6. Write a summary of what you learned in the unit.

  7. COLOR!


Unit 2.2: Force

  1. Title

  2. Create a force word problem that includes a block on an inclined plane. Show the free body diagram, sketch an illustration of the problem, and show the complete solution.

  3. Define inertia and create an illustration of inertia from your real world experiences.

  4. Define all key vocabulary.

  5. Write a summary of the unit reflecting on the “Learning Outcome”.

  6. Use plenty of color.


Unit 2.1: 2D Motion

  1. Title

  2. Define all key terms

  3. Create a 2 dimensional motion problem with the solution. Make sure to include the solution and a complete illustration of the problem.

  4. List the steps to solve a 2 dimensional motion problem.

  5. Summarize the main points in the chapter.

  6. COLOR!


Unit 1.2:

  1. Title

  2. Border 

    1. Create A border around the page consisting of all key vocabulary.

  3. Definitions

    1. Define at least 6 of the key vocabulary in the body of the page.

  4. Sample Problems:

    1. Create a Velocity word problem using the equation for velocity.

    2. Create a word problem using average and instantaneous velocity.

    3. Create a constant acceleration word problem.

      Be sure and show the solution with all necessary steps!

  5. Write out the process for solving a constant acceleration problem.

  6. Use at least 5 different colors!


Unit 1.1:

  1. Title

  2. Border 

    1. Create A border around the page consisting of all key vocabulary.

  3. Definitions

    1. Define at least 4 of the key vocabulary in the body of the page.

  4. Sample Problems:

    1. Create a trig problem in the body of the page. Show the solution and an illustration of the triangle.

    2. Create an algebraic manipulation problem in the body of the page. Show all steps of the solution.

    3. Create a dimensional analysis word problem in the body of the page. Show all steps of the solution and draw an illustration of the problem.

  5. Write a summary sentence or two explaining the importance of repetitions.

  6. Use at least 5 different colors!
